Martin T. Maldonado, 75, of Beeville, died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009.

He was born April 1, 1934, in Beeville to Martin and Virginia Trejo Maldonado. He was a civil service worker and a member of the St. James Catholic Church.

Mr. Maldonado was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Janie Maldonado of Beeville; three daughters, Sylvia (Dan Marcus) Holmes and Vivian Maldonado, both of Beeville, Virginia (Luis Perez) Maldonado of San Antonio; three sons, Robert (Sylvia) Maldonado of El Paso, Martin Maldonado of Whitsett and Paul Maldonado of Beeville; three brothers, Frank (Yolanda) Maldonado of Beeville, Arturo Maldonado of Bossier City, La., and Ricardo (Rebecca) Maldonado of Maumelle, Ark.; two sisters, Soveida Martinez of Farmers Branch and Consuelo Maldonado of Beeville; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (today) from 1 to 6 p.m. at Galloway and Sons chapel. A rosary will be recited this evening at 7 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial will follow at Beeville Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ambrosio (Butch) Camacho, Joe Henry Lopez, Eric Sustaita, Adrianne Sampayo, Frank Maldonado Jr. and Trey Lopez.

Honorary pallbearers are Carlos Lopez, Guadalupe Martinez and Michael Chapa.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
