Mrs. Mary Eva Treviño
Mrs. Mary Eva Treviño, 79, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, in a local hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born on Dec. 13, 1929, in Panna Maria to the late Martin and Herminia Flores Vargas. She was a retired house keeper at NAAS Chase Field.
Survivors include her husband, Tomas M. Treviño of Beeville; three daughters, Nancy (Ernest) Cano and Anna Arredondo, both of Beeville, and Janie (Francisco) Moreno of Hutchins; two sons, Tommy (Noemi) Treviño and Onesimo “Ony” Treviño, both of Beeville; one brother, Adan (Sofia) Vargas of San Antonio; four sisters, Ethel Alvarado of Beeville, Theresa (Tom) Baltazar of Riverside, Calif., Ninfa (Greg) Gomez of Houston and Bruna Hernandez of Fresno, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.
A rosary was recited Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday (today) at St. James Catholic Church with Father Balaswamy Pasala officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Treviño, Ernest Cano Jr., Jose Moreno, Ruben Peralez, Joseph Martinez and Freddy Arteaga. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
