Some 250 years ago, a new and exciting movement began to sweep the nation like a prairie fire. This new concept was called the ‘restoration movement.’ There was a desire from people of most every religious group to ‘restore’ pure, simple New Testament Christianity.

Human creeds were abolished and man-made churches were renounced. Denominationalism was discarded and the church of Jesus Christ was exalted! The church was called, among other things, the church of Christ, see Romans 16:16 and Acts 20:28.

Still in existence today, this restoration plea is being heard around the world. It is a powerful biblical concept. Christ’s prayer for unity can only be answered by all believers in Christ practicing New Testament Christianity, John 17:20-21.

Jesus taught the worthlessness of human creeds, Matthew 15:9. Christ exalted God’s Way and condemned man’s innovations, Matthew 7:21; 15:13-14.

Unfortunately, some men are almost too proud to lay aside their own desire for the will of Christ. May I encourage everyone who reads this to be part of the movement to go back to the Bible and to Christ alone, see II Tim 3:16-17 and I Cor. 4:6.
