Silvester Mares Carrillo, 46, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012. He was born to Thomas Carrillo Palacios and Alsiviades Mares Rodriguez Carrillo in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico, on Nov. 26, 1965. He married Paula Mary Cantu on Dec. 6, 1985, in George West. Silvester was a yard man for Tex Isle.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Carrillo; two daughters, Donna (Edward) Cantu Trujillo and Juanita Lucia Alsiviades Carrillo; a son, Jose Silvester Carrillo and grandson, Richard James Trujillo, all of George West. His parents, two brothers and five sisters also survive.

Visitation was on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. Services were on Thursday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church with burial following at George West Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jorge Carrillo, Isayas Carrillo, Cornelio Paiz, Robert Cruz, Ronnie Paiz, Clayton Smejkal, Santana Paiz and Jaime Moreno.

Services were under the direction of Galloway & Sons Funeral Home of Three Rivers.
