With the past Trash-Off, we were able to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle in George West.

This was made possible with the help of City employees: Charlie Rodriguez, Porfirio Sanchez, Alvin Guerrero, Jessie Carvajal, Joe Sanchez, Ricardo Gonzales, Rodney Pfouts, and Joe Zuniga , along with the UTB group: Cindy Robinson, Alexis Bennett, Sue Holland, Sue Conner, Earlyn Tompkins, Gracie Wilson, Jennifer Pena, Lupe Verastigi, Tyler Garcia, and several others present at the event. All of these people need to be given a big Thank You! That thanks needs to go, also, to those who were not present, but who played a very significant part by putting everything together to get it accomplished. When the two organizations come together, much is accomplished.

On behalf of the Unify to Beautify/Trash Off Committee, we want to remind everyone of the next four Trash-Offs, with the first being Jan. 14, 2010. We plan to hold four each year. With the generous donations from the community food, desserts and water will be provided for workers.
