Mr. Gilmore was born Nov. 2, 1918, in Waxahachie to Thomas S. and Mollie E. (Steele) Gilmore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gerald Gilmore; a sister, Kathleen Weaver; and son-in-law, Keith Rizer.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Gilmore of Three Rivers; four daughters, Beverly Ann Rizer of Anchorage, Ala., Barbara Jean “Peggy” (Mickey) Wireman of Hunt, Carol Sue (Keith) Rogers of George West and Doris Ellen (Emil) Bystron of San Antonio; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ Church in George West.
