CORPUS CHRISTI — Robert R. Busse III of Corpus Christi has been invited into the People to People Student Ambassador Program to the Celtic Culture, which will include travel to England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales in the summer of 2012.

Robert is the grandson of Adelia Resendez of Refugio.

A barbecue will be held on April 28, at 11 a.m. at Lion Shelly Park to help defray the expenses of the trip. Plates of chicken and sausage with trimmings will be sold for $7.

“I’m paying my way and raising money for the program,” Busse said.

The eighth grader at Haas Middle School will travel with a delegation of kids his age and the group will be led by experienced teachers.
