Mr. Guerrero was born March 20, 1940, in Galveston to Carlos Guerrero Sr. and Teodora (Dora) Cuellar Guerrero. He married Angelita “Angie” Rodriguez on Sept. 20, 1970, in Beeville and worked as a dispatcher for the Beeville Police Department for 35 years. He enjoyed all outdoor activities such as hunting, camping, photography and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Angelita Guerrero of Beeville; a son, Robert A. Guerrero of Beeville; a daughter, Lisa L. Guerrero of Beeville; a grandson, Brandon Jacob Guerrero; a granddaughter, Rayanna Lynn Guerrero; two brothers, Baldemar (Bertha) Guerrero and Adrian Scott Guerrero, both of Beeville; three sisters, Esther Montoya and Elsa Guerrero, both of Beeville, and Mary Melinda (Raul) Garza of Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was planned from 4 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel. A prayer service was held at 7 o’clock on Monday evening at New Hope Christian Church.
The funeral service was conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the church. Interment followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Richard Cantu, Rene Guerrero, Kevin Behr, Alden Southmayd, Adam Levine, Jason Alvarez, Carlos Carrizales and Jay Brionez.
Honorary pallbearers were all his ex-coworkers and friends.
