GOLIAD – Downtown Goliad will kick off the Christmas season Friday with the first events of this year’s Christmas In Goliad.

Vendors will open for business Friday at 5:30 p.m. and the Lighted Parade will begin at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, arts and crafts booths will open at 9 a.m. and dancers and choral groups will perform from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. “Miss Ruby’s Corral” will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with authors and book signings.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, the Market House Museum will present “Ole Time Music Instruments.”

At noon Saturday, Santa Claus will arrive on his longhorn steer and be accompanied by the South Texas Trail Riders.

The Best Dressed Dog Contest will be Saturday at 3 p.m. and the Beeville Community Chorus will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Mission Espiritu Santo.
