The dance and comedy duo of James and Kathy Taylor will present the next performance for the Beeville Concert Association on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 3 p.m. in the Gertrude R. Jones Performing Arts Auditorium at Coastal Bend College.

The talented dance team met in Reno, Nev., at the MGM Grand in 1978 and have been singing and dancing in the United States, Mexico, the Bahamas, France and on many cruise ships since then. They have performed with Andy Williams, the Drifters, Harry Blackstone Jr., Red Buttons, Marty Allen, the Four Aces, the Diamonds and the Platters.

The Taylors also have performed in Branson, Mo., for Star Search and for television shows in Rome, Paris, Madrid, Santiago (Chile) and Montreal.

Having moved to Beeville a few years ago to be closer to Mrs. Taylor’s mother, Jane Cecil, the couple now teach dance at Jump for Joy Studio when they are in town. They continue to perform on cruise ships, and Mrs. Taylor recently had a part in “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Their performance Sunday is free to all students, including CBC students with their photo ID’s. Other adults will pay $7 at the door if they do not hold BCA season tickets, which may still be purchased at the door.
