Edward Brady Morton, Jr., 80, died on Wednesday, June 12, at a hospital in Corpus Christi following a short illness. He was born to Edward Brady and Betty Elizabeth (Smith) Morton on Dec. 25, 1932 on their farm in Live Oak County. He retired from Live Oak County as a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Fischer Morton of George West, sons Brady (Abby) Morton III and Arthur (Becky) Morton of George West, brothers: Van “Toby” (Vertie) Morton and Louis Morton of Three Rivers, sisters Tincy Roberts of Mathis and Louise (J.E.) Holland of Beeville.

He had 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Friday, June 14, at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers.

Funeral service was Saturday, June 15, at The Brush Country Cowboy Church near George West and Oakville with Pat Traxler officiating service.

Burial followed at the Clegg Cemetery in Live Oak County.
