It was a week full of events to decide who the top five girls would be in the finals show Saturday, July 27. The week began with orientation Monday morning and an Alamo fiesta party kick off for the girls and their families. On Tuesday morning the girls had interviews followed by their first production rehearsal. Wednesday was wear your favorite TOMS shoes to rehearsal day. Later that evening was bingo night. Thursday morning was on stage prelims, the final decision of the top 5 for finals. Each girl was asked to design a pair of jeans that described their individual personality. The girls also were asked an on stage question in their evening gown. Friday was a long morning rehearsal followed by a fun photo shoot on the river walk.

Finals day arrived and Jennifer was announced in the top five of her division. She and the other four girls were asked an on stage question before the final decision of who would be crowned was made. Jennifer came in as 2nd Runner Up in the overall competition.

“Thank you to every one who donated for me to get to nationals. It was a once in a lifetime experience and I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to represent the state of Texas in a national pageant. It was a week I will never forget. I had a blast and made friends from all over the country. Thank you all once again. God bless,” said Jennifer. After the winners were crowned all the girls gathered one last time for a queens ball. It was a night of dancing and celebration in honor of the newly crowned queens.
