Former Woodsboro resident Jeff Martin recently was named CEO of the Year by Quorum Health Resources (QHR), the nation’s largest hospital management company and one of the leading healthcare consulting firms in the United States.
The 2009 QHR Excellence in Leadership awards were presented in Brentwood, Tenn.
Martin, CEO of Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, Idaho was the recipient of QHR’s top honor for CEOs.
“Gritman Medical Center CEO Jeff Martin is a strategic thinker and a disciplined operator, and we’re proud that he is a part of the QHR family,” said James L. Horrar, QHR president and CEO. “Jeff works effectively with his board and medical staff. His financial results are over budget, and he keeps his eye on the results that keep his hospital successful: very high employee satisfaction scores, the highest HCAHPS scores in his state for patient satisfaction, and excellent scores in all 15 categories of Avatar patient satisfaction. Jeff is most deserving of this award.”
B.J. Swanson, chair of the Gritman Board of Directors, agrees. “Jeff is one of the finest CEO’s I’ve ever worked with,” Swanson said. “Through Jeff’s leadership over the past 10 years, Gritman has expanded and excelled in every area, all while maintaining the focus of quality and doing what’s best for the community. We are very fortunate to have Jeff Martin.”
