A passenger is removed by emergency personnel from the vehicle that was involved in a wreck on U.S. Highway 59 on Friday morning.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Oscar Garcia, the driver of the vehicle, a Corpus Christi man, fell asleep and swerved off the eastbound lane and through a barbed-wire fence before the vehicle rolled several times and came to halt upside down. The wreck occurred at around 7:20 a.m.
All four occupants of the vehicle were transported to DeTar Hospital in Victoria.
