Goliad ISD parents attended the 2012 Region III Parent Involvement Conference at the Victoria Community Center on Nov. 1.

Featured speaker was Ado Kambon, who is an advocate for parents being engaged in the education of their children and shows parents and school leaders that by working together as active partners they can help “release the spirit of academic excellence” in their children.

Breakout sessions and topics included “Helping Your Child Learn Math,” “Preparing Your Child For School Success,” “Bully Prevention,” “Exploring the Benefits of Being Bilingual,” “Science In Everyday Life,” “How To Help Your Child Be Motivated About School,” and “Special Education Resources.”
