The adventure will be held July 19-21. Children ages 8-12 are welcome to participate in archery, perfect their casting skills during backyard bass activities, learn how to set up a tent, and experience the wonderful outdoors through a modern day treasure hunt called geocaching. Geocaching is an outdoor activity in which participants locate “caches” using a Global Positioning System device.
Adventures in Camping events are on Thursday, July 19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Friday, July 20, camp will start at 8 a.m., with dinner at 6 p.m. for the whole family, and concludes with an optional family camp out.
Registration forms are available at Goliad State Park. Participation fee is $20 per child and space is limited. For more information, call Goliad State Park at 361-645-3405.
