Mrs. Guerrero was born Feb. 5, 1937, in Berclair to Juan and Jacinta Garcia De La Rosa. She married Carlos Guerrero on March 26, 1954, in Beeville. She had worked for the Brown Ranch as a housekeeper for 30 years and was a member of the Kingdom Hall.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 2000.
Survivors include five sons, Carlos D. Guerrero, Ricky D. Guerrero and Ruben (Becky) Guerrero, all of Beeville, Rudolfo D. (Zaida) Guerrero of Edinburg and Danny D. (Janie) Guerrero of Snyder; five sisters, Juanita (Pedro) Garcia, Celia (Heraclio) Yzaguirre and Esperanza (Felipe) Garcia, all of Beeville, Carmen Salazar of Victoria and Hortencia (Marcos) Gonzales of Bay City; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Wednesday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel with a prayer service that evening at 7 o’clock.
The funeral service was conducted there at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 2, with Pete Salazar Jr. officiating. Interment followed at Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Carlos D. Guerrero, Rudolfo D. Guerrero, Ricky D. Guerrero, Ruben D. Guerrero, Rudy Guerrero Jr., Felipe Garcia Jr., Roland Torres and Gabriel Yzaguirre.
