Jamboree set for Tuesday

REFUGIO – Organizers at the Refugio County Jamboree have packed an all-star lineup into this month’s show which was changed from Thursday to Tuesday, Nov. 20.

The place and time remain the same. The show will kick off at the Refugio County Community Center at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5 a person.

Don Kelley of Arkansas; Winter Texans Jo Ann Hickman and Bill Quigley; Jonny Marek and Ivan Adams, both of Corpus Christi; and Harvey Bailey of Victoria will join the Jamboree Band for three hours of live country music entertainment.

The Jamboree Band, a seven piece group that accompanies the guests, is loaded with experience and talent.

Band leader Rick Faircloth, of Yoakum and formerly of Victoria, doubles as the drummer and has more than 40 years in the music business.

During the last 30 years Faircloth served as leader of “The Whisky River Band.”

“Come join us on Tuesday night,” Faircloth said. “I’m sure you won’t regret it.”
