He was born March 2, 1932, in San Antonio.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Neely of Refugio; one daughter, Karen and her husband John Deones of Austin; one son John D. Neely and his wife Pat of Dripping Springs; one sister, Shirley Neely of Lake Livingston; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation was held Friday, May 11, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel from 6 - 8 p.m.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church. Burial followed at 4 p.m. in Sabinal.
