The Joys of Faith will host their annual Pre-Juneteen Celebration at Beeville’s Expo Center on Saturday, June 8. This year their theme is geared toward reaching the youth and young adults of South Texas. The theme is “What’s the Hype (Helping Youth/Young Adults Prepare for Eternity)?”

In various communities around South Texas, the sudden and seemingly early demise of several youths and young adults has been witnessed, say coordinators. So, during the “H.Y.P.E” celebration, they would like to celebrate the lives of some of the youths known to them and encourage others with inspirational speaking, fun and games, and a memorial moment to celebrate those lost.

The planned celebration will include food, ware and game booths for the entire family. All are invited to join in the fun while raising money for group also.

Booth space is $25 to any group and/or organization wanting to put one up. There will be no duplications or competition among vendors that day. First one to pay their booth rent chooses his/her item. Joys of Faith will be the only vendor selling sodas, water, and snow cones for the day, leaving any and all other food items and game activities available for sell.

There will also be a “booth decorating contest” for all vendors, with a $50 donation being given to the day’s winner.

So, if you would like to participate in the day’s fun and reach communities’ youths and young adults at the same time, contact Aline Washington at 361-241-3349 or 361-815-6970 or Molly Barefield at 361-542-8134. When calling, specify the items, food items, and/or game booth you would like to host. Deadline for booth registration is Saturday, June 7.
