It’s with many thanks to our community that this “chatter” article wants to focus on. As many already know, we had a very successful day at our Christmas in the Park on Saturday, Dec. 1. With a lot of vendors, visitors, basketball “Hoop the Loop” players, KCISD band members and their directors, George DeRocher and Nathan Jones, it not only was successful but also a lot of fun. And of course the man in the red suit, Mike Saxon, who played Santa Claus was visited by many little ones who enjoyed sitting on his knee and getting their pictures taken. Along those lines we also want to thank those like the Butler Law Firm who furnished fruit and Otto Kaiser Hospital for bringing iced water for the children and adults as well.
Of course, our board members helped with setting up and working with all of the decorations at the park pavilion and just being there to help in any way they could. So, once again, thanks to all of you who came and participated at this year’s Christmas in the Park. Also, pictures of the children with Santa Claus are in the chamber office now for pickup during the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. We also have some Poinsettias left for sale if you should want to get one for your Christmas decorations. So, again many thanks to our community members who helped make our day in the park a huge success.
‘Til next time, Cathy
