Mr. Taylor was born June 25, 1976, in Taft to Mabel and Charles Taylor Jr. He was a 1994 graduate of the Beeville Independent School District, where he participated in track. He received an associate’s degree as an electrical engineer for computers from Education America in Dallas. He worked many years at Sam Kane Meat Processing in Corpus Christi and various other jobs, ending his working career at Wal-Mart in Beeville.
He accepted Christ at an early age at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Rev. J.D. White. He was a youth usher and sang in the youth choir, holding the office of president before moving to Dallas. After returning to Beeville, he helped Bethlehem in the usher department and wherever needed.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Lillie Mae Jones; and paternal grandparents, Charles Taylor Sr. and Jerolyne Scott.
Survivors include his parents, Mabel Taylor of Beeville and Charles Taylor Jr. of Dallas; a son, Tryce Williams; special children, Chi’ale Abor and Ve’Sean Wardlow of Dallas; brothers, Charles (Teresa) Taylor III, Phillip Taylor and Jerry Lear of Beeville; sisters, Millicent Joy Taylor, Ivory Miller and Ebony Taylor of Dallas; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at Treviño Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 25, at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Eric R. Tarver officiating and assisted by the Rev. Claude C. Axel, pastor of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, Corpus Christi. Interment will follow at Saint Rose Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Washington, Kevin M. Wade, Curtis L. Jones, Leroy Hollingshed Jr., Robert Jacob Cantu, Eric D. Jones, Oliver J. Jones and Michael Austin.
