Last week was a hard one for the Lady Badgers, as they faced two tough district competitors. But they hope to get in the Win Column this week in District 28-2A action.

The girls played Nixon-Smiley Tuesday and will face Hallettsville there on Friday.

Last Friday, the girls made the two-hour trip to Schulenburg with a plan to capitalize on their quickness against a slow but tall Lady Shorthorns’ team. However, the Lady Shorthorns limited Lady Badger scoring throughout the game. Senior point-guard Aileen Lunquist led all KC scorers with 11, including a 3-pointer, and senior guard Jonie Reyes added another 10.
