Woodsboro Lady Eagles hoops soared into the playoffs for the first time in seven years. The Lady Eagles are led by Kitty Avery, junior captain, with an average of 17 points and 15 rebounds per game.

“The freshman starting point guard, Taylor Perez, has led the Lady Eagles the entire season,” said Coach David Carmichael.

Perez came on strong in district play scoring in double digits in the past three games.

The Lady Eagles are 4-3 in district play, capping off the season Tuesday night with Kenedy.

The Lady Eagles finish out their starting lineup with Trista Yanez, senior; Hannah Carmichael, junior; and Jamie Wilson, freshman.

Coming off the bench for the Lady Eagles with quality contributions are Pauleen Irving and Brittany Simpson, both juniors; and Kasye McCool, freshman.

“Come out and support the Lady Eagles in their playoff run!” Coach Carmichael said.
