The Titans prevailed 25-21, 25-21 and 25-20 for a 3-0 win in the best of five match.
The first set was all Lady Titans early, but the Beeville girls slowly fought back into the set after trailing by seven points, 20-13. The Lady Trojans outscored the visitors 8-5 down the stretch, but it was just too big a hill to climb to pull even that late in a set.
Victoria Elizalde and Emma Downing played well at the net with some blocks and kills in the set to spark the Beeville girls.
The second set had the Lady Trojans holding the lead in the early minutes. The hosts were still out front at 17-14 late in the contest after trailing just briefly at 14-12. The short run was fueled by a couple of kills from Brennan Holder to get JHS back on top. The set remained close, but the Titans chipped away at the Beeville lead and finally overtook them at 20-19. The Lady Titans scored five of the next seven points to take the 2-0 lead in the match.
Set three began with the Titans cruising to a 4-0 led. The Lady Trojans got strong serves from Elizalde and Amanda Gonzales to break even at 6-6. The hosts led briefly at 7-6, but the visitors edged back in front and refused to be caught again. The Victoria East girls went on to a 25-20 win in the third set to sweep 3-0. Holder, Abigail Silva and Ciara Garcia came up with a few big hits for kills for JHS.
The Lady Trojans celebrated Senior Night on Friday as they played their last home match of the season. The JHS girls closed out the year with a road trip to Gregory-Portland on Tuesday night.
