The ecumenical outreach was begun in 1970 by Moser and is co-sponsored by the women of St. Philip’s, Faith Lutheran, First United Methodist, First Presbyterian and St. Joseph’s churches. This is the first year for St. Joseph’s to join the group of sponsors.
Each event begins with lunch served from 11:30 until noon, with the program beginning by 12:05 and ending by 1 p.m. The cost is $7 per program or $25 for the series. Men are also encouraged to attend.
Reservations may be made by calling the St. Philip’s office at 358-2730 by the Friday afternoon preceding the luncheon; those who make series reservations only need to call for the first luncheon and will be automatically included in the next three.
On March 5, the Rev. Rick Mills of will present “Parable of the Loving Father.” He is pastor of the Island Presbyterian Church of Corpus Christi and husband of the Rev. Linda Sherry, who serves Beeville’s First Presbyterian Church.
Rev. Larry McRorey, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will speak on “Liverpool, London and Living Abroad” on Tuesday, March 12.
The Rev. Gary Conklin, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, will conclude the series with a presentation titled “Death and Renewal” on March 19.
The community is invited to attend the series in preparation for the Easter season.
