Kasie Fierova, Sarah Lopez and Justin Fierova were invited to participate as special guest musicians following an appearance last summer on the De Austin Show in Pflugerville.
The trio entertained thousands of economically disadvantaged families waiting to receive Christmas dinner kits and toys for the tots.
“Although the weather was a little cool and drizzly, the entertainers brought a ray of sunshine to those waiting their turn,” said a spokesperson.
This year’s program supported more than 2,700 families. Each family in attendance received a frozen turkey and all of the traditional components of a Christmas meal to take home and prepare for their families.
Christmas presents were provided for every child who attended. Hundreds of brand new bikes were also provided to a select group of special Fort Hood children.
It was truly a family affair. With more than 10,000 people at this year’s event the Woodsboro musicians said it was truly something to remember.
In addition to this opportunity, the three teens have also been asked to perform on Eddie Arevalo’s Spotlite show on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.
Although Refugio County residents cannot access Austin Cable Channel 16, the performance will be streamed live through their website at www.easpotlite.com. The show will feature these local artists singing Christmas music as well as several musicians from the Austin area.
