On Thursday, April 11, the Moreno Middle School Symphonic Band traveled to FMC, R.A. Hall, St. Mary’s Academy and Thomas Jefferson to recruit for next year’s beginner band.

The 5th- and 6th-graders were treated to different styles of music the MMS Band performs throughout the year and a wide range of instruments from which to choose.

The MMS Band will hold instrument “tryouts” from April 22 through May 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the MMS Band Hall. If your child is interested in becoming a member of the MMS Band program and want more information to set up an appointment to “tryout” an instrument, contact Jose Villarreal at 358-6262, ext. 4070.
