Mary Ellen Pearce was born on January 20, 1922 in Normanna, Texas, to August Charlie and Ollie Noemi (Roberts) Voss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Pearce of Normanna. Mary passed away on January 13, 2013, at age 90 in Alvin, Texas.

Mary is survived by four children and spouses, Melvin and Frankie Pearce of Lake Jackson, TX, Marion and Sandy Pearce of Pearland, TX, Sheridan and Stevie Pearce of Santa Fe, TX, and Connie and Gerald Nolen of Lake Jackson, TX; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren and 2 brothers, Marvin Voss of Normanna and Alfred Voss of Minnesota.

Mary was a lifetime member of the Normanna Baptist Church. In her later years, she was a regular at the Pettus Senior Citizen lunch group.

Mary worked many years for the Pettus School cafeteria and later for the Beeville Super S Foods. She enjoyed cooking, family, and her soap operas. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Services were held at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home at 2 PM Friday, January 18, 2013. Visitation was from 12 PM-2 PM Friday prior to the funeral. Interment followed at San Domingo Cemetery in Normanna.
