Mary was born on Aug. 28, 1925 in Cestohowa to Anton and Mary Smolka Moczygemba. Mary grew up and went to school in the Pulaski community. She married Leonard Moy on June 21, 1949. They were original residents of Deweesville and then moved to the Hobson community in 1955. Mary was a devoted member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Alter Society, and KJZT. As a homemaker, Mary loved to sew, cook, and bake. She was an avid domino, bunco, bingo player and quilt maker.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Rosie Pruski and Benigna Kotzur; and brother Isadore Moczygemba.
Survivors include her husband Leonard Moy; daughters, Diane (Carlton) Pape, and Adelence (Mike) Manka; sons, Edwin (Agnes) Moy, Leroy (Debbie) Moy, and Leonard (Melissa) Moy, Jr.; grandchildren, Carl (Deanne) Pape, Aaron (Kristi) Pape, Kristen Pape, Wesley Manka, Stephanie Manka, Lindsey (James) Griffith, Kayci (Malcom) MacLauchlin, Tara Moy, and Amber Moy; and 5 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited Thursday, Dec. 27 at 7 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Hobson.
Interment followed in the Falls City Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Carl Pape, Aaron Pape, Wesley Manka, Zygmund Pruski, David Pruski, Marvin Pruski, Emerick Moczygemba, and Lambert Moczygemba.
