Park’s Rio! Rio! attracts numerous naturalists to Goliad

GOLIAD — Nearly 1,500 visitors came to Goliad State Park on Friday and Saturday to take part in Rio! Rio!

GSP Superintendent Brenda Justice said over 1,000 students and teachers came to event Friday and an estimated 460 visited Saturday, when the exhibits were open to the public.

Justice said 23 booths from naturalist and historic groups from all over the state were on display.

Next year’s Rio! Rio! is scheduled for Nov. 8 and 9.
