BEEVILLE – The match of the anonymous donation of $750 has been exceeded by the combined efforts of the Lions Club and Sports and Recreation Foundation of Beeville, and the generous populace of the Beeville community.

The money will be going to fund improvements at Klipstein Park that will include new a playscape designed to be enjoyed by the community’s youngsters and to be helpful in maintaining their fitness.

A donation of $600 by the Vestry of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church put the initial matching totals over the targeted $750 amount. The generous originator of the challenge has upped the ante and will put forth an additional $750, if the organizations and public of Beeville will again match the challenge.
