Petra G. Rodriguez, 69, of Beeville, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.

Mrs. Rodriguez was born Dec. 4, 1943, in Beeville to Santos Galarza and Aurora Martinez Galarza. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Santos M. Galarza; and a sister, Guadalupe Galarza.

Survivors include two sons, Jessie Rodriguez, and Jerry (Melissa) Rodriguez of Beeville; two daughters, Aurora Rodriguez and Patricia Rodriguez of Beeville; four grandsons, Jerry Rodriguez Jr., Jessie Rodriguez Jr., Aaron Rodriguez and Raymond Rodriguez of Beeville; two sisters, Emily Solis and Felipa Ochoa of Beeville; four brothers, Frank (Luisa) Galarza of Beeville, Juan Galarza of Victoria, Carmen Galarza of Austin and Gabriel Galarza of Ingleside.

Visitation was held Thursday, Jan. 3, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Treviño Funeral Home chapel. A rosary was recited there that evening at 7 o’clock.

The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Luke officiating. Interment followed at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.

Pallbearers were Jessie Rodriguez Jr., Jerry Rodriguez Jr., Aaron Lee Rodriguez, Gabriel Galarza, Efrain Galarza and Aurora Galarza.

Honorary pallbearers were Frank Galarza and Raymond Rodriguez Jr.
