Tom and Terri Porter, of Kenedy, are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Rebecca Sue Porter, to Fernando Villalobos of Alpine.

Rebecca is a 2004 graduate of Karnes City High School and a 2010 graduate of Sul Ross University where she earned her Master’s degree in Animal Science. Rebecca is currently working at McCoy Lumber in Alpine as contractor sales representative and special orders. She is the granddaughter of Charlene Anderson and the late R.J. Anderson of Karnes City and the late Newt and Janice Porter of Kenedy.

Fernando is a 1995 graduate of Odessa High School and a 2001 graduate of Sul Ross University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. He is currently working as a groundsman for Rio Grande Electric Co-op in Alpine. Fernando is the son of Refugio and Carmen Villalobos of Odessa.

The wedding and reception will be held at The Post in Marathon on June 29. The couple plan to reside in Alpine.
