The “Friends of Goliad,” Sheriff Kirby Brumby, and the Goliad County Sheriff’s Office are again sponsoring the Silver Santa program for the children of Goliad County.

Last year, Silver Santa provided toys and clothing to 274 children from 96 families in Goliad County. Silver Santa forms have been passed out at the Goliad ISD elementary and intermediate schools.

It is requested that the forms be returned to the schools by Friday, Nov. 30.

Students who did not bring home a form may pick one up at City Hall or the Goliad Animal Clinic. Requests for Silver Santa gifts can also be filed at both locations.

The program is accepting toys and money to help fund the project. Volunteers are needed to wrap gifts starting on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at the Julie Wimberley Building. Money can be deposited directly into the Silver Santa account at American Bank. Toys may be dropped off at City Hall.

Call Deby Brumby at 645-1210 for information.
