Today’s Gospel, John 18:33-37, was about Jesus appearing before Pontius Pilate. Pontius Pilate was to determine what to do with Jesus. Pilate asks Jesus if he, Jesus, is king and Jesus states that he was brought into this world to bear witness to the truth. How often are we spoken to, and do not believe. Do we accept Christ as king, or do we reject it. Do we reject because we do not believe, or because we do not want to change. Maybe we do not like what being a true believer entails. Some Jews tried to get rid of Jesus, and some became disciples of His. We must decide if we want to be true followers of Jesus, which is difficult, or if we want to take the easier path, and just move complacently along. How will we be seen, as great disciples or as handing Jesus over to Pilot.

Pastor Randal Bruno serves as minister at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 409 N. Wilburn, Runge, Texas and welcomes all to worship with us Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. with Sunday School following the service.
