The festival kicks off at 11 a.m. with a home-cooked barbecue brisket and sausage dinner for $7 per plate pre-sale. Tickets will be $8 at the door. The dinner includes German potatoes, rice, beans, pickles, onions, bread, dessert and tea.
An outdoor food stand will have taquitos and much more including tripas, Monterrey chicken, hamburgers and a few more surprises.
The Country Store & Sweet Shoppe opens at 11 a.m. and the cakewalk begins at noon. A live auction follows at 1. The drawing for prizes will be held during the auction.
Throughout the afternoon, a moonwalk will be set up for the kids and live music will be played.
“Come for a day of food and fun,” said a church spokesperson.
