PLEASANTON – Marion's Avery Corkran stole a Goliad inbound pass with 13 seconds left and scored on a layup to give the Bulldogs a 63-62 double-overtime win over the Tigers in a Class 2A bi-district playoff game Tuesday night at the Pleasanton High School gym.
Scottie Brown's free throw with 13 seconds left closed Goliad's lead to 62-61 before Corkran stole the tipped inbound pass and drove for the game-winning layup. Goliad's Dalton Sturm drove for a potential game-winning shot but was tripped up from behind by Marion's Casey Blakely. No foul was called as time expired.
