Contributed photo.The B.I.S.D. Special Olympics Team competed at the Area 2 Bowling meet held on Nov. 3 at Saratoga Lanes in Corpus Christi. Over 600 athletes representing 21 teams from the South Texas area were in attendance.; Those representing Beeville were Victoria Salazar - Bronze medal with a two game average of 86, Jose Johnson - Silver medal with a two game average of 77, Miranda Abrigo -fourth place with a two game average of 51, Richard Moreno - fifth place with a two game average of 42, Kevin Garza - Silver medal with a two game average of 92. The Beeville team includes, from left, Trojan athletes Victoria Salazar, Jose Johnson, Miranda Abrigo,  Richard Moreno, and Kevin Garza. BPA club members  include Teresa Cano, Anahi Cantu, Juan Ibarra, Justin Segovia, and Kristin Luna. Not available for the photo were were Celeste Cisneros and Sarah Draper who were still serving as lane volunteers and Kala Griffin, BPA Club sponsor. The Business  Professionals of America Club volunteers helped with the meet and the coaches expressed their gratitude for the support. .
