The RHS cross country team are out running on the streets of Refugio every morning beginning about 6 a.m.

Although the athletes wear blinking lights and reflector vests, it is still a challenge seeing them at times.

“I would like to ask the community to be cautious of the athletes as they are out running on the streets and it is hard to see them,” said Coach Katie Craft.

The runners always run on the left side of the road and stay as far into the grass as possible.

“Please help us keep these athletes safe,” the coach said.
