Zulema Reyes, 74, died Friday, March 8, 2013.

Mrs. Reyes was born July 18, 1938, in San Diego to Reymundo Ramirez and Matilde Garcia Ramirez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reymundo and Matilde Ramirez; her husband, Juan Reyes; a brother, Reymundo Ramirez Jr., and a sister, Minerva Treviño; brothers-in-law, Jesus Villarreal and Raul Landeros.

Survivors include a son, Joe Reyes (Candy Chambers) of Skidmore; brothers, Jose (Irma) Ramirez of Banquete and Lupe (Mona) Ramirez of Alice; sisters, Anna Villarreal of Alvarado, Diamantina Landeros of Robstown and Clementina (Narcisco) Martinez of Ben Bolt; brother-in-law, Crespin Treviño; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Sunday, March 10, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Rosas Funeral Home Chapel in Alice, and a rosary was recited that evening at 7 o’clock.

The funeral service was held there Monday, March 11, at 10 a.m.

Arrangements were under the direction of Rosa Funeral Home, Alice.
