The Court Kings are coached by Albert Ruiz (far right) and the boys recently captured first place in the Corpus Christi City tournament, going undefeated to win the championship crown. The squad certainly lives up to the adage on their T-shirts - "There is no off season". Trojan pitcher Cameron Kremers applies the tag but it’s a little late as G-P Wildcat Blane Hamon scores on an errant throw to third on his triple in the sixth inning of Tuesday night’s game at Joe Hunter Field. Hamon’s hard-hit triple brought in one run and then he scored on the Beeville error to make it a 3-0 ball game. The Trojans failed to score in the final frame in the district opener for both teams. Kremers pitched well, striking out 12 G-P batters, but the Beeville bats did not produce any runs in support.
