Runge Golf Teams competed at the District Golf meet last week at Quail Creek County Club in San Marcos.  The boy’s team finished tied for seventh with a score of 440.  Junior Levi Lewis had a super day on the course and shot a score of 80 and will advance to the regional Golf meet in Brenham.  The girls competed as individual medalists.  Austin Caballero - junior (113), Brandon Nunez - freshman (score not known), Billy Cerda - junior (141), Levi Lewis - junior (80), Richard Ramirez - junior (106).

The Badger and Lady Badger Golf teams competed at the Regional meet Monday and Tuesday. The girls won their fourth consecutive District meet, while the boys took the co-championship with Schulenburg during the District tournament April 8 in Seguin. 
Courtney Garcez led the girls, shooting a 95, while Stephanie Garcez shot a 110, Amber Bruce and Dominique Garcez shot 112 each,  Jordan Garcez had a 115 and Cameo Crabtree shot a 116.
For the Badgers, Jacob Janysek earned a 2nd place medal with his score of 82. Wesley Lover shot a 90, Blake Janysek a 92, Dylan Wright a 96, Cib Braun a 99 and Coy Martin shot a 113.
