An official at the Refugio Head Start reported an attempted burglary at 1:12 p.m. on Jan. 10.
The caller advised nothing was taken; however, the dead bolt on the front door of the building is jammed.
Deputy Danny Beltran was dispatched to the school where he reported no offense was committed and that the teachers weren’t able to get a key in the dead bolt.
A 911 caller reported hearing a couple fighting in the 200 block of Driscoll Street in Woodsboro at 3:49 a.m. on Jan. 16.
Deputies Jason Maley and Shelly Haertig were dispatched from their location on FM 2678, during a heavy rain shower. The call was cleared without an arrest.
A Tivoli man called 911 to report a man was lying on the sidewalk outside a building on Main Street at 11:32 p.m. on Jan. 11.
The suspect was reported to be wearing camouflage clothing.
Deputy Phillip Ruiz reported the subject has several notices barring him from premises.
The deputy took him to the Tivoli Motel where the subject secured a room.
Deputy Danny Beltran was dispatched to Thomas Road at 10:04 a.m. on Jan. 14 to investigate a report of a subject off-roading in the ditch. A witness identified the suspect and a case number was assigned.
Damage is estimated at $229.
The owner of a diesel pickup reported his vehicle was on fire at 11:56 a.m. Jan. 14 on FM 774 just east of U.S. 35.
Troopers Kent Williams and Ryan Chambers arrived first on the scene and reported the vehicle was fully engulfed when the Tivoli Fire Department arrived. Refugio Fire Department was sent back to Refugio.
Sink in the road
A sink was reported on the roadway on SH 202 at 3:28 p.m. on Jan. 14.
Deputy Daniel Beltran was dispatched to the highway. The deputy removed the sink and cleared the call.
