A&M University at College Station names area honor students

COLLEGE STATION, Feb. 18, 2011 – Texas A&M University has named its honor students for the summer semester, recognizing them for outstanding academic performance.

The Dean’s Honor Roll recognizes students taking at least 15 semester hours during the fall semester who have maintained a 3.75 or higher grade point (GPR) out of a possible 4.0.

A second designation, “Distinguished Student,” recognizes those who earned a 3.5 to 3.74 GPR while taking at least 15 hours for the fall semester.

Among those recognized were: Leonor Cantu, Class: Senior 90+ Ho. Dean’s Honor Roll. Hometown: George West. Bachelor of Science - Environmental Studies.

Travis W. Liska, Class: Senior 90+ Ho. Dean’s Honor Roll. Hometown: George West. Bachelor of Science - Geography.

Garret R. Luthringer, Class: Sophomore 30. Distinguished. Hometown: Three Rivers. Bachelors Degree - Unspecified - General Studies.

Aamanda B. Stapleton, Class: Senior 90+ Ho. Dean’s Honor Roll. Hometown: Three Rivers. Degree 1: Bachelor of Science - Interdisciplinary Studies.
