Trine G. Moreno, 79, of Karnes City, TX passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Karnes City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Karnes City. He was born May 31, 1931 in Mathis, TX to Margarito and Frances Lerma Moreno. On January 23, 1988 he married Andrea Lopez in Karnes City. He was an active member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church, a member of the Guadalupanas, an usher in the church and Treasurer of the Karnes City Latin Cemetery Association. He spent most of his life in Karnes City where he retired from Karnes Electric Co-Op after twenty seven years of service. Trine was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Otilia Valdez Moreno whom he wed on August 10, 1957 and a brother, Joe Santos Moreno. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Moreno of Karnes City; brothers Luz Moreno of Karnes City, George Moreno of Arlington, Johnnie Moreno of Copperas Cove, Robert Moreno of Austin; sisters Julie Gonzales of Killeen, Minerva Banda of Yorktown, Alicia Salazar of Gatesville, Guadalupe “Mary” Nunley of Killeen and Elizabeth Leonard of Covington, WA; daughters Sylvia Garcia and husband Armando of Austin, Irma Garcia and husband Lionel, Jr. of Kenedy, Diane Villarreal and husband Jimmy of El Oso; stepsons Thomas Cisneros III and wife Sandra of Round Rock, Oscar Cisneros and wife Carmen of Rosenburg and Eloy Cisneros of Karnes City; stepdaughters Otilia Ortegon of San Antonio, Elda Smith and husband Mark of Brazoria, Aide Cisneros of Woodbridge, VA and Gilda Cisneros of San Antonio; seven grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren. A Rosary was recited 7:30 PM, Thursday, July 15, 2010 at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, with a funeral mass having been celebrated 10 AM, Friday, July 16, 2010 at St. Cornelius Catholic Church. Interment followed in the Karnes City Latin Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Daniel Perez, Jr., Johnny Moreno, Larry Lee Leonard, John Banda, Roy Banda, Eloy Cisneros, Pete Valdez, Jr. and Rey Rios. Honorary pallbearers are Lupe Valdez, Andres Valdez, Jr., Robert Valdez, Sr., Lionel Garcia, Jr., Armando Garcia, Jimmy Villarreal, Fritz Nunley, Larry Leonard, Sr., Thomas Cisneros III, Oscar Cisneros and Eddie Soto.
