Three Rivers and George West ISDs cancel May 14 election

At a special school board meeting held on Thursday, March 31, Three Rivers ISD school board members voted unanimously to cancel the election in place 3, which is currently held by Karl Arnst, place 4, which is held by Diana Pullin, and place 5, which is held by David Saenz.

Candidates in the May 14 election were certified to be unopposed by Superintendent Kenneth Rohrbach.

George West ISD also canceled its May 14 school trustee election at the regular school board meeting held on Wednesday, March 30. However, the special bond election will be held on May 14.

George West ISD board members voted to cancel the election for single-member district 2, which is currently held by Mackey Alvarez, and single-member district 4, which is held by Sam F. Keach Jr. Candidates for the May 14 election were certified to be unopposed by Josefina T. Chapline, board secretary.

At the schools’ respective monthly May meetings, the board officers for the coming year will be elected.
