She was born to Lois and Bill Thiede in Kenedy on Jan. 7, 1957. She received a master’s degree from Southwest Texas State University at San Marcos and was a reading specialist and teacher for Bastrop schools.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Dean Thiede.
Survivors include one daughter, Rachelle (Nate) Cavaness; one son, Richard Dean Manlove; one grandson, Christopher Cavaness; three sisters, Diann Henning of Beeville, Beverly (Fidencio) Montez and Amy Thiede, both of Tuleta; three nieces, Elizabeth Henning, Kristina Gonzales and Amanda Montez; and one nephew, Eric Montez.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. today (Saturday) at the United Methodist Church in Bastrop with Rev. Polly Morrison officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to All Faiths of the Pines in Smithville.
