Klepac, Liska, Oxford earn Built Ford Tough FFA scholarships

Tanner Klepac, Larissa Liska and Cody Oxford earned Built Ford Tough FFA scholarships. Each received $1,000  from  Kinsel’s Live Oak Motors, Inc. and Ford Motor Company.

Seniors Tanner Klepac, Larissa Liska and Cody Oxford of George West High School FFA, have been awarded a $1,000 scholarship by Kinsel’s Live Oak Motors, Inc. and Ford Motor Company.

Tanner Klepac is the son of William Klepac and Jim Ann Klepac of George West. He plans to study Agricultural Business Management at Texas A&M University - College Station.

Larissa Liska is the daughter of David Liska and Rosemary Liska of Three Rivers. She plans to study at University of Texas - Austin.

Cody Oxford is the son of Harold “Rusty” Oxford and Darlene Oxford of George West. He plans to study Agricultural Business Management at Texas A&M University - Kingsville.

The Built Ford Tough - FFA Scholarship Program is designed to recognize FFA members’ talents and accomplishments while encouraging their future academic achievements.

The scholarship is one of 526 scholarships awarded by Ford Division, Ford Motor Company Fund and Ford Dealers to FFA members who are high school seniors planning to attend college in the fall of 2011, or current collegiate students. This program is a part of Ford’s overall commitment to the National FFA Foundation.

Additionally, five National $1,000 BFT - FFA Scholarships are being awarded on behalf of Ford Trucks as a special project of the National FFA Foundation.
