Desiree is a 2004 graduate of A.C. Jones High School and Hands on Approach School of Massage in Corpus Christi, becoming a licensed massage therapist. (She was the youngest student at 18 years of age to complete the course.)

She attended Coastal Bend College from 2004 to 2005 and transferred to Texas State in San Marcos, from which she graduated in 2007, with a bachelor’s degree sports science, exercise and a major in sports training.

She plans to continue at UTEP under a bridge program until August 2011 when, upon completion of the program, she will receive her doctorate degree in physical therapy. Commencement will be held in December.

Desiree is the daughter of Ray and Adela Muñoz of Beeville and the granddaughter of Adalberto and Tomasita Treviño and Ray Sr. and Cruz Muñoz, all of Beeville.
